What if you could take MSDSs out of your file cabinet and all of the CFRs and various hazardous chemical handbooks off your shelves, to have someone give you a report whenever the two "crossed paths"? Could you afford to pay someone or take the time, yourself, to determine every instance that an ingredient on an MSDS is mentioned in a particular CFR, or has been listed as carcinogenic by some recognized authority?

Perhaps you did that review when you first received that MSDS, but have you checked lately. New chemicals are being classified as being hazardous every day. Did you check all of the synonyms of the ingredients when you did your research? Are you confident that you know all of the implications of the information that has been given to you over the years on all of the MSDSs in your file cabinet?

When linked to the HAZMIN MSDS Management Module, the user can cross-reference one or more MSDSs with one or more of the chemical regulatory and advisory lists contained in the Regulated Substance Database. This cross-reference will look at the component names on your MSDSs and search for all the synonyms in the selected lists. The resulting report can be important in establishing the management of hazardous materials in your facility. With confidence, you can determine where employees may be exposed to carcinogens, where hazardous waste may be generated, where reporting needs to be done, and much, much more.

When linked to the HAZMIN Environmental Reporting Module, a cross-reference with the Regulated Substance Database will drive environmental reports based upon the components of MSDSs, even though the MSDS may have different synonyms. The software will "roll-up" the appropriate pounds or kilograms for Environmental Reports.
