Introduction

The MSDS is key to HAZCOM compliance and workplace hazard evaluation, and is the cornerstone of a comprehensive compliance program. Your MSDS database represents a valuable asset of information. LOGICAL offers a wide variety of services that will allow the customer to outsource any or all of the MSDS acquisition and data entry to help assure the quality of your MSDS database.

The Program

• LOGICAL maintains your MSDS database. This includes all specified data and Images (PDF files) of your MSDSs.
• LOGICAL actively acquires your MSDS updates.
• LOGICAL databases key selected data & PDF image of each MSDS.
• LOGICAL will establish Hazard Ratings for all materials; Flammability, Health and Reactivity for consistent Hazard Label generation
• LOGICAL will include PPE and/or Target Organs if listed on the suppliers MSDS.

Hazard Ratings & Labels

As part of the COMPLY1™ MSDS Services, LOGICAL reviews each MSDSs and provides a consistent 0 to 4 Hazard Rating Health, Flammability and Reactivity. In addition, if the material is Chronic, the MSDS is marked as such.

As a COMPLY1™ customer, you can print this information directly on the hazard label, with the product name, manufacturer and manufacturer's emergency phone number. LOGICAL's Chemical Hazard Rating Labels do more. Where target organs and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) have been identified on the MSDS, that information is also printed on the larger labels. On all but the smallest labels, the first five components are listed on the label.

The Hazard Ratings Assessments are included with the Red, White or Blue options.

SEOs
The Spill/Exposure Overview

Another key part of the COMPLY1™ MSDS Services is the Spill/Exposure Overview for each MSDS. LOGICAL reviews each MSDSs and provides an MSDS-specific SEO. The SEO spells out in simple language the significant meaning behind the Hazard Ratings and additional hazard exposure information.

As an overview, the SEO is designed to be a quick read and give the employee a critical overview of the hazards of exposure to the material. An overview of spill control measures is also included.

The SEO is included with the Red, White or Blue options.

COMPLY1™ MSDS Service Data Options

Select your preferred Data Options. There is no best Data Option. Only you can decide how much of the MSDS data that you need to access for your specific goals and objectives.

*With two exceptions, LOGICAL databases the information that is on the MSDS. The two exceptions are that LOGICAL assesses each MSDS to determine Hazard Ratings (Health, Fire, Reactivity) and the Chronic Health Hazard Flag. That information, along with the other fields, is databased.

"Unlimited" above means unlimited entries possible per MSDS.

HAZMIN® is designed to limit the Right-To-Know users to use only certain fields for searching for an MSDSs. The other MSDS fields can be used by authorized users to build custom reports, as well as query for MSDSs.
