With the optional, multi-lingual implementation of HAZMIN® Online, you can easily provide multi-lingual MSDSs and multi-lingual search pages for your users. When a user searches for and MSDS, for example, in the Spanish search pages, the Spanish MSDS will be displayed. Whereas, a user searching in the English search pages would see an English MSDS. With the flexibility of the software you can add any number of languages, but, at this time, you are limited to roman-character languages, such as English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.

The flexible field naming will assure that you can use terminology which is best understood by all users. HAZMIN® Online is 100 % browser-based and should work with any popular browser. HAZMIN® Online only requires Acrobat Reader to be installed on the desktop to read PDF files. No other software or plug-ins are required on the user's desktop.

HAZMIN® Online has no client side java or VB Scripts. There is a little JavaScript used in the browser to improve the user interface. All computations are performed in the SQL database and all programming is handled on the web server.

For users who will be running reports on significant amounts of inventory data in the Environmental Reporting Module, working with the Regulated Substance Database, or entering MSDS, it is recommended that they have at least an 2+ GHz machine with 1+ GB of RAM. While all of the processing does occur on the server, large amounts of data can take significant resources to format promptly on the desktop.

LOGICAL allows you to add modules when you need them.

HAZMIN® Online is modular. LOGICAL's philosophy is to provide only the module(s) to accomplish a client's current requirements. You may always upgrade HAZMIN® Online by licensing other modules as you need to expand the software. Acquiring modules in stages will not jeopardize the functionality of the fully integrated HAZMIN® Online software or incur a price penalty.

 

Hazard Ratings & Labels

HAZMIN can print hazard labels.

As part of the Red, White and Blue services, LOGICAL reviews each MSDSs and provides a consistent 0 to 4 Hazard Rating Health, Flammability and Reactivity. In addition, if the material is Chronic, the MSDS is marked as such.

As a HAZMIN® Online customer, you can print this information directly on the hazard label, with the product name, manufacturer and manufacturer's emergency phone number. LOGICAL's Chemical Hazard Rating Labels do more. Where target organs and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) have been identified on the MSDS, that information is also printed on the larger labels. On all but the smallest labels, the first five components are listed on the label.

SEOs
The Spill/Exposure Overview

Another key part of the Red, White and Blue services is the Spill/Exposure Overview for each MSDS. LOGICAL reviews each MSDSs and provides an MSDS-specific SEO. The SEO spells out in simple language the significant meaning behind the Hazard Ratings and additional hazard exposure information.

As an overview, the SEO is designed to be a quick read and give the employee a critical overview of the hazards of exposure to the material. An overview of spill control measures is also included.

MSDS Data Options

Select your preferred Data Options. Since there is a PDF of the MSDS, the entire content can be viewed or printed. The Data Options allow you to choose the additional fields that authorized users will be able to query to build custom reports.

*With two exceptions, LOGICAL databases the information that is on the MSDS. The two exceptions are that LOGICAL assesses each MSDS to determine Hazard Ratings (Health, Fire, Reactivity) and the Chronic Health Hazard Flag. That information, along with the other fields, is databased.

"Unlimited" above means unlimited entries possible per MSDS.

HAZMIN® Online requires a minimum three-year commitment. The user must have the Adobe Reader installed to view the PDF images.

The proactive updating of MSDSs along with the optional SEO, Hazard Ratings and Data Option levels, all described above, are called the Comply1 MSDS Services. These services are also available to HAZMIN® software and hosting customers.
